Die Hard 5 coming in 2013
Oct 13th
Another bit of film news – Fox has just announced that it will be producing a 5th Die Hard film titled A Good Day to Die Hard, slated for release on Feb 14th 2013.
John Moore, who directed 2008′s (frankly godawful) Max Payne is directing, so it’s hard to get too excited but hey – it’s Bruce Willis playing John McClane again, what could go wrong?
Details on the plot are pretty sparse but what is known is that it will be set in Russia and will involve McClane’s son, John McClane Jr. No details yet on who will be playing McClane Jr.
The Imagined Village – Space Girl

Cool music video by The Imagined Village (whoever they may be) titled Space Madness Girl. Featuring, surprisingly, plenty of famous space girls from film and TV.
How many do you recognise?

Star Trek Convention 1973
Mar 31st
Legions of devoted fans The voices in my head demand more Star Trek content to counterbalance all the other neatly edited quality content that you’re used from this glossy internet sharade I call my website. So here’s some interesting Star Trek convention footage from 1973.
This great document of past times shows that even in the olden days you would have had no problem filling Arkham Asylum with new patients. “I’m ambassador X from eco-system 4″ But of course you are, sir, please put on this comfortable white straight jacket and do follow me. By the way, the lobster on your head gives your costume that extra authenticity.
Bonus: Isaac Asimov says something clever about Star Trek in this.

STARPRISE ENTERSHIP
Mar 22nd
Cake: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starprise Entership. Wait, what? No it ain’t!
I love cake. I love geek cakes. And I love geek fail cakes.
The voices in my head Bothan spies tell me that what a first looks like a brilliant cake wreck is in reality a cleverly orchestrated prank on a Star Trek nerd. Imagine his face, waiting all happy for his birthday cake and then this blasphemous piece of dough, jam and icing makes its way onto the table …
KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!
Nerd rage – it’s not pretty.

The crew of the Enterprise is torn apart by Facebook
Mar 10th
Yeah, even the Star Trek crew posts embarassing videos and pictures on facebook and Starfleet is laughing at them.
That Enterprise is like one big frat party in space.

Wampa Cake
Sep 15th
If you’re like me then you’ve always wondered what all those creatures from the Star Wars movies would taste like. Oh, you’re still reading? Ah. Well. Bantha steak seems to be a pretty standard dish in the Star Wars universe so it’s obviously totally normal and not weird at all to think about these things.
Anyways, here’s a great cake that probably does not taste like a real Wampa – because then it would be an ice-cream cake.
