Now here’s a a fine specimen of what the young people these days call a “mashup”.
Take two sources that have nothing to do with each other and mix them in a video blender and out comes something new.
That’s how I would explain it. For a better definition you should look up the word in ye olde wikipedia in your local public library (if you still have one). Or “google it”, whatever that means. All this internet mumbo-jumbo is making my head dizzy. It also could be the fumes from the cans of paint in the garage I’m sitting in as I can’t afford a decent office. The life of a freelancer, what a joy! Thank you, world economy, for making my life even more miserable than I could possibly imagine.
But I digress.
This video features well known Star Wars characters doing crazy things that you would normally see on the MTV show Jackass (also available on DVD, you know.) That’s why it’s called Jedi Jackass and it works suprisingly well. I can imagine that this is what the people in the Star Wars universe are up to when there’s nothing to watch on holonet, or all the womp rats have been shot but there’s still time to waste.

Did you know that the Empire is having one PR disaster after another?
Blowing up planets and stuff with a moon-sized superweapon doesn’t exactly make you popular.
The general perception amongst senators is that its run inefficiently by a bunch of self-centered Sith Lords with no clear vision.
This is why the general management decided to hire some experts in efficiency and leadership to fix this situation – cue the Swiss Germans.
This secret video taken from an even more secret meeting about new ways in advertising (probably to avert the next PR disaster) shows just how ruthlessly efficient these Germans can be.

Black Dynamite Trailer

Good news for all the blaxploitation fans out there pimping it like it’s the 70s: Black Dynamite, sort of a parody on Shaft or something like that is coming to the big screen. And the trailer is looking good.
I’m not a big fan of blaxploitation myself, mainly because I don’t really watch movies from the olden days (pre 80s) except for maybe Star Wars, Jaws and some others. I did get a kick out of I’m Gonna Git You Sucka, a blacksploitation parody from thelate 80s directed by one of the Wayans brothers who also starred in the movie. I watched it because I like the song by Boogie Down Productions. But do you care about that? No, of course not! What happened 20 years ago in my life doesn’t even interest me.
This is the red band trailer and people say that means there’s swearing and nudity and all sorts of stuff that might label it as NSFW. So if you are at work, relaxing with some hard liquor, just wait until the boss goes home and then watch it. It will look like you’re working overtime instead of looking for porn on your colleagues computer. You know the drill.

This is from the same guy that brought us the funny Mactini parody. The guy has as name, too. He is Peter Serafinowicz, a British comedian, you may or may not remember from Look Around You. See if you can’t get a “copy” of that show because it’s pretty funny. Anybody remember Songs from the Year 2000 skit? Maybe even the Machadaynu song? No? You can check out that masterpiece (remixed) on our friend’s site LOL Factory here.
In any case, this Apple product parody here is about a toilet. Not much you can improve on a toilet, right? Well, of course you’re wrong!
I must admit that it’s not the funniest Apple parody but still worth a watch.
