Imagine his face, waiting all happy for his birthday cake and then this blasphemous piece of dough, jam and icing makes its way onto the table …

Meh. Where did my life go? Ah, down the toilet. Now I remember.

The only thing that can turn this evening around is a decent Shatner song. And by decent I mean not utterly terrible.

The only decent cover version that William Shatner ever did without sounding like rape and murder to my bleeding ears was Common People by Pulp.

Debatable, I know.

But as long as no one ever posts any comments and argues with me or Jon, I will continue my reign of terror on this blog.

Yes, I am desperately fishing here. That’s what cheap cider will do to a man.
